Buying a home is a team effort which requires good communication between the REALTOR® acting on your behalf and you. If you have a suggestion on how best to approach a situation, speak up.
If you see a For Sale by Owner sign while driving down a residential street in the area in which you wish to live, write down the address and contact information, and e-mail it to your agent with a request to follow up.
If, after looking at several neighborhoods (or several houses), you feel it's necessary to change your search criteria, don't wait. Inform your agent immediately, and put it in writing to eliminate confusion.
Communication is essential. Don't be bashful. Ask lots of questions. And, if you do not understand the answer, ask again!
