Finding the right person to market and sell your home is one of the most important steps in the home-selling process. You have to do your homework to find the right person. Take some time to interview prospective agents. Ask them the same questions and compare their answers. Find out what they intend to do to sell
your property.

Here are some questions to get you started:

  • How many years have you been in business?
  • How long have you sold houses in this area?
  • What is your plan for marketing my home?
  • Can you provide me with a list of referrals?
  • Are you a REALTOR®?

It might surprise you to know that not all licensed real estate agents area REALTORS®. Only those who belong to the REALTOR® association and pledge to abide by a strict Code of Ethics may call themselves REALTORS®. Asking these questions will help you find the Texas REALTOR® who meets your needs.
