You don't necessarily need to pick the largest real estate company in town or the REALTOR® with the most experience; you just need to find an agent you are comfortable with and who knows how to market your home. Take some time to do your own homework. After you do, you might end up with the largest firm in town after all. Or, perhaps, one of the smallest.
Start by researching local real estate offices and Texas REALTORS®. Look at how they leverage the Internet. Do their listings make you want to view the properties? Do they offer virtual tours? What about the other methods that company or agent uses to market homes? And what can they tell about their track record selling properties for others?
You might also want to look at the self promotion by the company or agent. Do they advertise in multiple publications? On radio or TV? The more exposure the firm or agent gets, the more exposure your property may get.
Don't overlook the importance of getting referrals from family and friends. Ask questions about what they liked and disliked about working with that particular firm or Texas REALTOR®. If you take some time to conduct a little research, you will find that it's not difficult to find a Texas REALTOR® who meets your needs.
