In an analysis of the nation’s 100-largest metros, the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2010 American Community Survey shows that Texas ranks in the middle of the pack for percentage of large homes. Dallas ranked No. 45 on the list with 11.49% of its homes having nine or more rooms, followed by Houston at No. 55, Austin at No. 63, San Antonio at No. 70, and El Paso at No. 88.
