An analysis of U.S. Census Bureau data by The Business Journals’ On Numbers shows that the Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston metro areas are among the 11 U.S. markets containing more than 100,000 small businesses each. The Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington area has 136,334 businesses that are considered to be small businesses, compared to Houston’s total of 119,005 small businesses.
