Let us know you care

If you are a proud Texas property owner—and you’re concerned about government infringing on your rights—let us know you’re out there. This is important because, from time to time, issues come up that you would want to know about. Just drop us an e-mail. The Texas Association of REALTORS® will send you a message whenever something comes up in the Legislature or some other Texas regulatory body that affects you. (Don’t worry. We won’t share your information with anyone!)

Texas REALTORS® work hard on your behalf

Individually, Texas REALTORS® provide you with the professional services you need to successfully buy and sell homes as well as commercial and investment properties. As a group, Texas REALTORS® fight for homeowners’ rights, whether first-time or long-time homeowners. During the 80th Texas Legislature in 2007, we were successful in urging lawmakers to pass several measures that will help reform the property-appraisal process for homeowners. We also supported an amendment to the Texas Constitution that will provide property-tax relief to homeowners 65 and older, as well as those who are disabled. In the future, we may need your help contacting lawmakers on issues affecting you. Please check back periodically to see how you can get involved in protecting your private-property rights and consumer choice.
