Texas homebuyers have resources to avoid mortgage fraud
In the 2007 legislative session, Texas REALTORS® championed measures to combat mortgage fraud, a chief contributor to Texas’ top five ranking in foreclosures. The Texas Attorney General’s Office is making a concerted effort to combat this wide-ranging problem, and has put together a variety of online resources to help Texas homebuyers avoid mortgage fraud and other homebuying scams.
