The Texas REALTOR® Strike Force Award is given to individual Texas REALTORS® who show extraordinary dedication to grassroots advocacy in support of the association’s positions, election activity, or TREPAC- and RPAC-supported candidates.
Examples may include, but are not limited to:
- Support for local or statewide issue campaign
- Efforts to increase voter turnout for supported candidates or issues
- Voter registration efforts, either consumers or Texas REALTORS®
- Candidate interviews
- Interaction with elected officials
- Activism within political parties
- Candidate recruitment and training
- Influencing public policy
- Promotion of local, state, or federal Calls for Action, including the Broker Involvement Program and REALTOR® Party Mobile Alerts (RPMA)
Award Policies
- Nominations may be submitted throughout the year
- PIC members and TREPAC Trustees are not eligible for the Strike Force Award
- All award winners are published in Texas REALTOR® magazine
- Multiple Strike Force Awards may be awarded to REALTORS® within the same local association
- Nominations for the Strike Force Award may be made by:
- Political Involvement Committee members
- TREPAC Trustees
- Local Associations, GADs, AEs
- Texas REALTORS® staff
- PIC leadership will ratify decisions as nominees are submitted
- Winners will timely receive a framed certificate to acknowledge their exceptional efforts in grassroots advocacy
Grassroots Advocate of the Year
- At the end of the year, PIC leadership will select finalists from the pool of Strike Force winners to be considered for the Grassroots Advocate of the Year Award
- Grassroots Advocate of the Year will be determined by the full PIC and presented at Winter Meeting in February
