Texas REALTORS®applaud Governor Greg Abbott, Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, and Speaker Dennis Bonnen for their leadership during the 86^th legislative session, culminating in comprehensive property tax and school finance reform packages.

Texas REALTORS® Chairman Tray Bates commended our state leaders, along with Senate Bill 2 and House Bill 3 conferees, after today’s rollout of transformative legislation to update the state’s public school finance and property tax systems.

“We are pleased to see the state’s increased investment in teachers and classrooms, coupled with transparent property tax notifications and automatic rollback tax-rate elections. We thank our state leaders for delivering substantial reforms that benefit all property taxpayers,” Bates said.
