About Me

* I am a West Texas native. I’ve been in Lubbock Texas since 1985. My family has roots to this area from the mid 1800s to the present stretching from San Angelo, Lubbock, off the Caprock and into the Panhandle.
*I have 3 grown children – Loren, Clay & Natalie & two grandchildren: Tatum and Cal
Loren and Kit Henderson, live in Lubbock Texas. Loren is an assistant elementary
principal in LISD and her husband Kit is an insurance claim adjuster.

Clay, lives in Lubbock but travels across the country for work. Clay is an oil and
gas pipeline welder. He has his BA in business.

Nat and Slade Short, lives in Camp Lejeune North Carolina. Nat works at Message
Envy and Slade is a marine in training specializing in intel.
*I am a graduate of Texas Tech University with a BS in Horticulture. I have attended West Texas State University and Texas A&M. GO RED RAIDERS!!
*Prior to real estate I worked for the Texas A&M Reasearch facility in Lubbock in the viticulture division, maintaining vineyards and conducting research in this area as well as facilitating local growers.
*In 1994, I decided to totally go a different direction and change careers. I began my real estate career with a desire to make this more than a job, interacting with people assisting them with their dream of homeownership and making sure that my clients were fully taken care. So, with a string shoe budget, a child on the way and truly an “ignorance is bliss” mindset-off I went.
I quickly learned that I found fulfillment in this new career. Long hours, hard work and solving problems that arise that come with working with people. I became a problem solver and as I became more seasoned through transactions, training and people, I realized that this job is more than a means of making money but it is a career that has high standards to follow and its about taking care of the people. Honesty and accountability is utmost important. Being a straight forward talker and not afraid of giving the bad news but with empathy and concern for your clients and the other people involved in the transaction.
