About Me

Growing up in the Midwest, I was blessed to spend time in the bustling city of Chicago, IL and idyllic Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. I loved the benefits both locations had to offer, but when it was time to go to college I knew I wanted to head south to enjoy warmer weather year-round. After touring a variety of campuses the University of Texas popped on my list. I immediately fell in love. The college was phenomenal, and I was attracted to the people, culture, and vibe of Austin. After moving here in 1989, I never looked back. I graduated from the University of Texas in 1993 with a degree in Geography.

While in college, I began to work for the Travis County Parks Department and enrolled in the Police Academy….something I never thought I would do! I was given the opportunity to become a commissioned a Police Officer, assigned to the Parks. I went on to receive certifications as an Emergency Medical Technician and a PADI Rescue SCUBA Diver. I loved my time and experience in this field, and was drawn toward the support, camaraderie, and relationships found in this fabulous fraternity of people.

When my children were born, I dedicated my time to becoming a stay-at-home mom. While I cherished every moment with them, I was ready to return to the workforce when they entered pre-school. Looking for a part-time position, I started working as a broker’s assistant and found myself enjoying the opportunity to learn more about real estate. As I progressed through my career, I realized I desired to open my own firm.

After obtaining my license and helping thousands of clients, I moved in to management, later advancing into leading entire business centers. I spent several years working through all channels of the industry, in both small brokerage shops and large conglomerates. I worked to understand all details, even if it was outside of my direct job function. It was important to me to learn all avenues of the business, and discover the intricacies of each company’s style. Through my experiences, I took mental notes of the policies, procedures, and value propositions I held dear, knowing I would implement them in the future.

Growing up, my dad was my coach, cheerleader, and biggest inspiration. His background in business, the military, and life hobby as a pilot played a large role in who I am today. From early on, he ingrained in me a competitive spirit, accompanying the importance of fairness, ethics, and kindness; values that continue to drive me. When he died, I was devastated, but knew I would find a way to honor his legacy. My Mom, who now calls Cedar Park home, is an incredibly strong woman who has taught me to stay focused, strong, and determined, no matter what challenges come your way. With this foundation, the Freedom 512 Real Estate Group was launched!

I am an adrenaline junkie; the spirit of adventure is in my DNA! I love to experience new things, accept new challenges and I find competition in almost everything! I am an avid sports fan, particularly a football fan (Go Bears! Hook ‘Em Horns!), and I am a yoga devotee. I adore travel and have been to 42 out of 50 states and been to 6 foreign countries. I look forward to adding more stamps to my passport very soon!
