Ed Eakin, Jr. CIPS, CLHMS, ABR, SRS, ALHS, RENE CRS RSPS AHWD C2EX CRB CLHMS – Builder and Broker/Owner of Eakin Group, began working in Dallas as homebuilder in 1988. After 30 years of homebuilding in some of Dallas / Ft. Worth’s elite subdivisions, his real estate career started in Playa del Carmen in 2007. He is one of 4500 brokers worldwide with a Certified International Property Specialist designation along with earning his Certified Residential Specialist, Accredited Buyer’s Representative, Accredited Luxury Home Specialist, Seller Representative Specialist, Real Estate Negotiation Expert certification, Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, Senior Real Estate Specialist designations, along C2EX, AHWD RSPS certifications.

Today, Ed and team are not only marketing and selling homes in Texas he is using his international real estate experience that started with onsite sales in Playa del Carmen to helping clients purchase second homes throughout Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras, Belize, Ecuador and the Caymans. Currently Ed is working with developers at Copala in Cabo, Auberge Residences at Chileno Bay in Cabo San Lucas, Itzana in Belize, Margaritaville on Ambergris Caye Belize, Pristine Bay on the Island of Roatan, Grand Hyatt residences in the Caymans, Auberge Susurros Del Corazon in Punta de Mita, and SIMCA in the Riviera Maya to market and sell to the Texas market for beach homes.

Ed was the part 2020 Chair of the International Advisory Group at the Houston Association of Realtors, Director at Texas Realtors, Director on the BOD at Metrotex Association of Realtors, Director on the BOD at NAHREP Dallas, Global Ambassador for Central America at the Austin Board of Realtors and Ambassador for The Institute of Luxury Home Marketing. He serves on the Texas Realtor Association Global Committee, NAR Global Alliances Committee and he is a NAR CIPS Mentor.

Eakin lives in the Las Colinas while his children Edward III (Austin) is attending college, Ashley (Fayetteville) attending University of Arkansas and Sydney (Dallas) is in school again after earning two degrees from Texas A & M. When Ed is not a beach, you are likely to find him at the course playing golf at Las Colinas Country Club or working on training one of his foster German Shorthair pointers.
