METI supports a number of federal agencies to
include the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, FAA,
and USDA. METI has offices throughout the
United States to support these agencies and
is also providing support to the Agency for
International Development (USAID) initiatives
world-wide. METI has successfully completed
over $400 million dollars’ worth of federal
contracts in its over 25 year history and is
recognized as one of the best small businesses in
the nation.
Prior to founding METI, Mr. Johnson was part of
the senior leadership team that participated in the
revenue growth of a privately held firm, to the
point where the company was acquired by a
publicly held corporation.
Mr. Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration with an emphasis in Management
from the University of Texas at El Paso.
Mr. Johnson is very committed and passionate
about his community and gives his time to a
number of organizations. Mr. Johnson is
currently serving as a board member of the
Dallas Federal Reserve Bank, he previously
served as the former Chairman of the Board
for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, El Paso
Branch; Former Chairman of the Board of the
El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; served
as the Immediate Past Chairman of the Texas
Lyceum; he was the 2017 President of the Texas
Lyceum; a former member of the UTEP College
of Engineering Advisory Board; was a member of
the UTEP President’s 2014 Centennial
Commission; Serves on the governing board for
the Hospitals of Providence (Transmountain and
Sierra East Campuses); graduate of the El Paso
FBI Citizen’s Academy; a current member of
Trellis Company Board; recipient of the UTEP
College of Business Gold Nugget Award in 2013;
and proud recipient of the UTEP Distinguished
Alumni Award in 2015; in 2021 he was inducted
into the Junior Achievement of El Paso Business
Hall of Fame. Selected for the 2023 class of Modern
Healthcare’s Excellence in Governance Awards.
