From 1980 – 2005, I was employed as a law enforcement officer. I retired as Captain of the Lockhart, Texas police department in October 2005. I graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. I am an active member of the First Lockhart Baptist Church. In my younger days, I was an avid team roper.
