About Me

I’m a Brownwood area native. I attended school in Brownwood, Early, and even Zephyr for a short time. My husband, Mike, and I met in high school and currently call the Salt Creek area home along with our 7 kids, 6 grandkids, 23 chickens, and a puppy dog named Sadie. I love Brown County. I worked for a time at the Brown County Museum of History and served on its board, and I’m passionate about the heritage and history of our land. My particular interest is in glimpsing into the past by learning about the “lost communities” within our county as well as the various businesses and organizations that have come and gone over the years.
I lived for many years in Austin, and when I moved back to Brownwood 10 years ago, I had a renewed appreciation for our rural values and ways of life. After almost 20 years of being a homemaker and mother, I returned to the workforce in 2015 as the customer service specialist and eventual Operations Manager for Echo Wireless Broadband. During those years, I learned the value of both customer and community service, as well as the roles that our local businesses and organizations provide to the economic development of our Heart of Texas region.
My vision since that time has been to see our area grow economically. Our rural homeland should be a place that children don’t have to leave to be able to find educational, entertainment, and employment opportunities. This concept was key to my work in the internet industry, as I pursued every avenue possible to bring better quality broadband
to Brown County in order to strengthen the viability of our community to provide these types of services to residents and businesses.
I decided to become a real estate agent because I see the proper use of land as a significant factor in the development of the local economy. I believe that when you buy a home or business, you aren’t just purchasing a structure, you’re actually becoming a stakeholder in your community. My goal is to not only help my clients to find the right house, land, or commercial building for their needs; but to also help them find their place among us as citizens and neighbors.
