About Me

I was born and raised in the charming city of Wichita Falls, where I also had the privilege of raising my two wonderful sons, Holden and Bryce. My journey in education began at Midwestern State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. This laid the foundation for a fulfilling career that spanned 29 years, all dedicated to education.
For 28 of those years, I was a proud member of the WFISD family at Jefferson Elementary. My career started in the classroom, where I spent 23 years teaching young minds. The last six years saw me transition into the role of an Instructional Coach, guiding and mentoring other educators. The most rewarding aspects of my career were teaching multiple generations within families and witnessing the joy and understanding that sparked in my students’ eyes when they grasped new concepts or fell in love with a novel we were reading.
I have always been a self-starter and motivated individual. Throughout my teaching career, I was honored to receive the West Award in 2004 and to be named Jefferson Teacher of the Year in 2015. The latter was particularly meaningful as it came from my co-workers, who were like family to me.
Since retiring as an educator, I became a REALTOR® and look forward to building relationships with individuals and families and helping them throughout the sale of their current home, the purchase of a new home, or both.
