About Me
HTX Home Inspections was founded by Douglas Hayes. Prior to stepping out into home inspections, Douglas worked in the building materials industry for over two decades. During those two decades, he gained a wealth of knowledge in how building material products, if installed properly, work together and create a well functioning home.
Working in the building material industry provided a wealth of product knowledge and proper installation techniques that will help elevate the home inspection.
Having this access has uncovered the disconnect between the manufacturer and builders, which can ultimately have a negative impact on the home building process. With this disconnect in mind, Douglas saw the opportunity to pass that insight down to the home owner through home inspections.
